QCS Warranty Policy Information
     This page contains information about QCS' warranty policies and is subject to change without notice. QCS' retains the right to change warranty policy(ies) without notice. This page will be kept up to date as closely as possible but may not reflect the latest changes (if any) in QCS' warranty policies.
Complete Systems
     Unless otherwise specified, all complete systems sold by QCS are warranted for one year from the date of sale. The warranty covers parts and labor on the original equipment & software setup. The warranty covers only defective equipment and/or software, and is limited to the replacement of the defective part(s) and/or software. The warranty does not cover abuse, acts of nature (i.e. lightning strike), viruses, or end-user error (i.e. improper installation of hardware or software). Unless otherwise stated warranty work is on a carry-in basis only (i.e must be brought to store). Any on-site servicing will carry an hourly charge. Any software/hardware not purchased with the original system setup will require the customer to bring the system into the store (or have a technician come on-site) for the standard labor fee.
Parts & Peripherals
     QCS strives to be as competitive as possible in the pricing of hardware parts and peripherals. Prices do not include installation, instructions or phone instructions on installation. Installation is available in our store at regular rates. Customers who elect to install parts themselves assume responsibility for correct installation and setup of parts and peripherals. QCS's liability is limited to the replacement of defective parts only and not to parts damaged by improper installation by the purchaser. QCS assumes no responsibility for installation, setup or proper working of parts we do not install. If the customer is unsuccessful at installing or setting up new parts or peripherals, for any reason, the customer may elect to have QCS perform the work at our regular rates.
Returns
     QCS offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for any reason (excluding customer damaged material) on all products we sell, with the exception of opened software. QCS cannot accept opened software for return unless it is defective and then we can only offer an exchange for the same title software. All other products must be returned in salable condition, with all original boxes & packing materials, manuals, cables, and accompanying software, etc. Products cannot be accepted for return if they are not brought back as originally sold.
QCS Labor Warranty Policies
RAM Installation: QCS does not normally charge labor for simple RAM (memory) installation & upgrades when the RAM is purchased from QCS. A nominal labor fee will be charged for RAM installation in systems other than QCS computers.
RAM Installation Warranty: RAM installation warranty is limited to the integrity of the RAM parts themselves. RAM installation labor warranty is limited to the correct installation of the RAM parts. The installation of RAM does not affect anything on the hard drive, modem, sound card, SCSI ports, serial ports, etc. RAM installation warranty does not cover any other part or software in the computer.
RAM installation labor warranty is good for 30 days from the date of purchase. The RAM parts themselves are warrantied for one year from the date of purchase.
Standard & Special Labor Warranties: QCS's standard labor warranty on all work is 30 days from the original date of the work. This covers installation of modems, sound cards, hard drives, serial ports, video cards or any other peripheral or device or upgrade. Parts are warrantied by the manufacturers and QCS will handle the warranty returns for one year from the date of original purchase.
Whenever possible QCS will replace stand-alone parts such as monitors, keyboards and mice when the defective part is brought to the store, however, due to technological advances and varying sales, parts are not always available and the customer may be asked to accept a comparable replacement part or wait until it is possible for QCS to receive replacement part(s) via standard delivery methods. In either case of replacement of parts under warranty the warranty on the part in question is for the remainder of the original warranty of the part being replaced. This holds true even if QCS opts to replace the defective part with a new part as it is for the convenience of the customer to prevent them from waiting until the defective part is sent back for repairs.
Labor warranties are limited only to a duplication of the original work. Labor warranties are void if evidence exists that QCS's setup or installation was altered after leaving our store.

For any given job, the customer must specify what hardware and/or software is to be affected or which must be setup or modified. Hardware and/or software not specified by the customer are not the responsibility of QCS. No guarantees can be made for the working of any parts or peripherals that are not with the system at the time the labor is performed.
